I will admit that the cinematography of the film and the soundtrack was incredible, but I’m the type of person who looks towards the characters on the basis of what makes a film good, as no matter how good a plot is, if the characters are poorly formed than the plot will make little sense and makes it seem absurd. I couldn’t really understand most of the characters, Ben the main character especially, there seems to be only a handful of morals between the whole cast who are almost would be considered bad people in the real world. Ben Braddock is the main character, but unlike most leads who are normally the hero, or even the anti-hero, but Benny boy here might of well have been the villain of the story. He's a cold person without any concept of morality and societies law. Some people may consider him a reble against the norms of society, but I think he comes off as a self-centered jerk who doesn't care about other peoples feelings or the laws of the country, and drags others on a wildride that doesn't go anywhere. A lot of the Ben's problems were due to the lack of communication between the adults and himself, and while some of this could be attributed to the adults not listenning when he speaks but he is also at fault as he never confronts the elders on this and instead of rebelling self-destructs. All of the characters seem to be poorly configured and shouldn't be put together in a film.
